Aside from just ruling supremely, I've counted no less than eight references to heavy metal bands and culture in the course of the Report. And now his shred-off with the guitarist from the Decemberists (who was sloppy but was better than one would anticipate) is brilliant. :headbang:

It's a dangerous sentient weapon used against political stupidity. Also has a good sense of humor.

I just love colbert for the simple fact that he had the balls to get up in front of Bush and every media and polly in Washington and give a speech denouncing the government (in a roundabout way) at their annual media dinner.

Very clever, very brave, very funny.

May still be on C-Span of Bit Torrent if you look.

Youtube is your best friend regarding Stephen Colbert. He did a speech at the Republican Correspondents dinner and lampooned all of the Republican Party as they sat there. Colbert can have my babies as far as I'm concerned.

    dinner Pt1 YouTube - part 1 - Stephen Colbert (part 1 of 3)
    dinner Pt2 YouTube - part 2 - Stephen Colbert (part 2 of 3)
    dinner Pt3 YouTube - part 3 - Stephen Colbert (part 3 of 3)

After this, I was convinced he would mysteriously die of anthrax poisoning. I'm so glad I'm wrong (so far).

Oh yeah, in an interview he had in TIME he mention he grew up on those bands... not sure if he still listens to it, but hey...
    Colbert is my hero regardless.

OMG, Bush looked so pissed off...awesome.

I haven't seen the Daily Show since Jon Stewart was on it.

"If you're strong enough to go on one of those pundit shows, you're strong enough to stand on a bank of computers and order men into battle."

...and no one laughed. Once again, AWESOME.

Hell yes, Colbert is the man! I've never seen that whole speech before, I bet he had to hire security to get him out of that dinner alive.
