    hey dudes... i cut some stratovarius kind of snare from other tipical powermetal finlands bands and edited the snare and i add`em some Rverb so...

    so check them out.. works awesome

    Edit: so these are proper ones, rather than being taken directly from the album? How did ya come accross these felipe?

    well yeah this will work on ballads songs or slower ones..

    i just search for songs that started with snare hits... check out the sweedish band "insania" for that.. and then added som rverb

    Ah cool, i re read the original post and now see :) I do love these types of snare :headbang: Gotta be used for the slower stuff huh!

    yeah, I second posting them without the verb. I really like the attack and the overall sound of the snares but for most styles that's just too much verb

    Sorry for the "ancient thread bump of the week", but I found this one when I was scavenging the forum for some typical Finnish a-la Nightwish/Strato/Bodom snare samples, maybe somebody can share those and possibly explain about the origin (is it taken from some drum module then treated in a specific way, or is it the trademark snare of a Finnish AE?)
