So will The Power Within be put into Stu's magazine?

Just out of curiosity to Stu. When you write songs for dungeon, do you notate them onto computer? If so with what program?

    Hey guys -

ok - the tabs.. gee, might be a hard one actually - send me your postal address and I'll do a short video of me playing it, hopefully that'll do -
There's some interesting stuff going on there -
Just as a one off for ya -

    Next:

When I write I pretty much go with a simple recording and that's it, LT is much more technically minded than me  - No tabs though.
I don't think they'll tab any Dungeon stuff unfortunately for the mag -

I have wanted Dungeon tabs for years. :(

If you were to whip up such a video Stu, see about putting it on the net somewhere. That would rock.

Good to see you guys again last night. :headbang:

The offer's still out there for anyone who wants a go at doing some tabs.

Clearly Dungeon will be folding soon, but it would be nice to leave the site as a fairly comprehensive place to get MP3s, Videos, Tabs, etc. if anyone wants them. :)

Lord Tim, Don't you notate any of the tracks when you use cakewalk to get an idea of how it will sound?

If you have any midi, I could give it a go and changing it to good positions and shit.

    Why would I?

I can hear it all in my head and we record directly into SONAR when we write. The only thing that would be remotely notatable is the MIDI stuff we do and even that is like "meh, does it sound good?"

While I'm pretty good with theory (as the other guys in the band will tell you), my sight reading is pretty much shithouse. I pick up stuff by ear like 100000 times faster and if I wrote it in the first place..... well, sorta makes notating redundant for me.

    Oh ok man.

My sight reading with tab is heaps good but I am not that quick with standard notation.

When I write shit i notate it out so my other members can learn it.

Just give your details out on a public forum mate, you'll be right! :loco:

I might tab some seeing as the rest of you are lazy fucks. I've got some great "slowing down" programs that would aid me.

I can't at the moment though as I'm tabbing the entire Circus Maximus album "The First Chapter". Might give Dungeon a go soon.

Well no one emailed me before, hehehe. I edited it out now though.

BTW Petrucci, can you do "fight"? When you get around to it. And post it on www.mxtabs.net aswell.

I worked out most of I am Death.....except I'm not 100% sure on the bridge part...you know the bit after the solo...before the thrashy part

I worked out up to the second chorus of a rise to power. Some of time to die. One of the guitar parts of the main riff of paradise...most of legend of huma......wake up......i've done a few......couldn't be fucked tabbing them out though

whats wrong with mxtabs? You can only make it better by adding songs.

    Pick up Resurrection NOW!

And for some bloody reason, powertabs program never EVER works on my computer. Its stupid.
