Did you put a reverse 808 in there? hahahahaha
I've put one in every mix of this song I've done. Did it out of boredom/lack of vox & fx.
When I imported the MIDI, all of the notes started at 1.
this band fucking RULES. i'd love to mix this..... I could make it bigger than Jupiter.
OP's mix is still the best, IMO... =D
EDIT: i wouldn't mind having that bass bomb sample, though =D it KILLS... i dont care how badly it sucks the mix in, hahaha, it sounds PERFECT for this style
Thanks man all of the bass drops are just joeys sample, pitch shifted down 2-3 semitones i believe
Thanks for the stems...had a great time mixing it
Here my updated mix. Did everybody have problems to get a good guitar sound here? Tried nearly everthing with them but they never sound half punchy as DIs i record myself. Which guitar has been used?
heres my mix. used metal machine for drums, x50 for gtrs. humanized the drums a bit. kept it close as the original with the sub drops and reverse effects etc. might reamp with axe fx if i can get a better tone, other than that, really happy how it turned out.
Thanks for the song , love it , still working on it actually , my first attempt did not work.
But to answer your question, the best way to make sure midi ( and audio ) works for everyone without alignment problems, is to make sure that each file ( midi or audio ) is the same length and starts from the begining. Then all people have to do is import the audio and midi and make sure they are all left aligned. When midi files are broken into parts like yours are, people are bound to have problems on import. I think it is better to have a midi file that is continuous from start of song to end of song, even if the midi file only has a few hits in it.
Also had same problem placing midi tracks (used Logic). Guitars are TH1, drums SD2. Cool song btw.
Thanks for comments!
Just so you guys know, I recorded them again last weekend and am currently working on the new song that i will most likely post stems for eventually
can you split the guitar for us (me) this time?
Haha yeah i can do that man
Y'know, if you've got reaper, it's fairly easy to split guitar tracks...
I do own reaper. But it's not my main DAW so I never even open it. Now that I know this, I'll know what to do if I need it again. Thanks
what interface did you use to record guitars?
here is my mix dude, can i use it on my page im rather proud of it lol i did it in about 3 hours it was super fun, ill make u a deal u let me use my mix and ill mix your songs if you want if they are tight and edited well and mono from now on lol ill do it for like nothing cause i love mixxing this kind of music its a lot of fun
