Havn´t seen many comments on the new album. Mabye beacuse it hasn´t been released yet. hehe ;)

Anyway I thought I would give some words of my impression of it.

I think it is overall a better album then the last one. But I am not sure if beats some of the killer tracks on Swamplord. Like "Dance on the Water", "Black Roija".

But anyway Swampsong, contains so many awesome moments. It has some great great diversity in the vocals. Wich a think one of the albums strongest points. Like the viking style chorus, on "the third the magical", the awesome dynamic vocalgrove in "doubtful about it all". And then "Moon of the nights" which I think is probably the best track. This song almost feels like gothmetal but with great kalmah feel to it. This song also has some great retro Iron Maiden feel to it´s guitar harmonies.

90% of the songs has a slowdown in the middle, where a climax/solo is built from with there are less things put down into the mix. This is great, because it lets you get a more clear view of the talent and effort put down on every individual instrument.

Anyway I don´t think anyone will be disapointed with this great release from Kalmah.

    Anyone else with comments?

I agree about Pekka's range of vocals. Moon of my nights put me thinking is this the same singer/growler. this is one of those slowly opening albums. little by little there are coming good parts and the choruses are starting to repeat in your head. probably not best one but best guitar sound ever from Kalmah. this is a great album. to me the downside is that some of the rhytm guitar riffs sound very similar.

which program are you using to download it? I've been looking for a song or two to keep my attention until mine arrives but have had no luck.

Well, I know its hard to wait a whole month when you could get it just that instant. I'm having a bit of a tough time myself not getting the songs, but I think I'll manage.

I would wait the whole month and I think also that this is not the right media to discuss about where and how to download it.

This album is so amazing. There is not one thing I dislike about it. I keep listening to it over and over again and will continue to do so...There is not one other band that could do the shit Kalmah does. Influencial and inspirational don't even come close to describing their music...Brilliant! Classic! Melodic death Metal at it's finest. I've said this before but it deserves to be said again. The best portrayal of Melodic Death Metal Ever...period

    Always remember to capitalize Metal...Always!
