I will order it by Spinefarm (www.spinefarm.fi)
HOLY FUCKING SHIT .....I just heard "swampsong" and let me congratulate the Kalmah guys on a fucking AMAZING album!! Kicks the shit out of "they will return." Not saying TWR was a bad album but this is definately an excellent improvement from there. Again keep up the good work. YOU GUYS FUCKING ROCK
hear heroes to us from minute 2:40....simpley great!
i'm new to kalmah, but i definately like them more than etos or cob.
moon of my nights is also killer...the first (at least semi-)ballade from kalmah if i remember right
much more atmosphere than the older tracks
Wow, this is a lot of positive feedback, I can't wait to hear this album. I'm hoping to maybe pick it up while I'm in Italy (I get there on 6/23, which is when it's supposed to be released in Europe, right?). Otherwise, I'll order it from The End or wherever. AAAAgggh, I can't wait.
damn...I am listening to this album on and on....its really amazing...I must hear (see) Kalmah live...they deserve all respect
i would say its the most varied kalmah album yet, and also the first time they actually do sound like other bands a little here and there. i definately hear some cob and etos influence in many of the tracks. thats not a criticism, just an observation. they're trying new things and not just setting out to make another swamplord (which would be impossible anyway, that record is fucking magical) or TWR. it grows on me more each time i hear it. no doubt it will make my 2003 top 10.
I think that Swampsong is amazing! Allmost every track kicks ass.
There are just two words to say.. totally - amazing
You can listen to it hundred of times and it wouldn't be boring..
Especially the new elements, like the viking-style vocals in The Third, The Magical are faszinating..
No doubt.. Swamplord is one of my favourite albums this year
yeah, "moon of my nights" sounds like the song that etos never wrote
I have both previous albums, i must say the recording got a lot better. drums, guitars, everything sounds wonderful. the songs are amazing. in track 3, there is a part a little bit into the song that has 4 guitars going at once. 2 harmony guitars, and then 2 harmony leads, so awesome, u guys deserve so much more credit. come to the states and get some fucking shirts!!!
yeah the albulm fucking rocks ! now we want kalmah to tour USA/Canada =p i so fuckign want to see u guys live =)
Swampsong is very good. Better than "they will return" but not as good as "swamplord." i dont think they can ever top "swamplord" but this was a damn good try.
album completely rocked! but then again, ALL the albums completely rocked.. what a great band..
oh btw - thanks to the kokko brothers for inspirations! the voice and guitar really calmed me down
I have only listened to Swampsong once (since I just purchased it today) but was first impression was: great! I cannot wait to listen to it again!
meanwhile I've been listening to kalmah albums over and over for many times ( oh wonder )
and the more often i read the lyrics while listening, the more i wish the lyrics would be better understandable not necessarily clean in vocals but just a bit more understandable. kalmah lyrics make sense and have substance - almost a shame that you can hardly even guess what is sung if you don't know the lyrics by heart
i have no problem understanding kalmah's lyrics even if i dont know them myself.
it jhust takes 2 -3 listens, and i can pretty much understand them...
Im having my first liasten and im really liking it a lot. I cant tell you which band i like better, these guys, or CoB. Im a real big CoB fan, and i cant even tell which one i like better. I like them both for different reasons, these guys a darker than bodom.
Good stuff, have to get a hold of swamplord.
The song Ive heard off it is totally ace and I am currently in the process of stocking up on their material.
