HOLY FUCKING SHIT :OMG: .....I just heard "swampsong" and let me congratulate the Kalmah guys on a fucking AMAZING album!! Kicks the shit out of "they will return." Not saying TWR was a bad album but this is definately an excellent improvement from there. Again keep up the good work. YOU GUYS FUCKING ROCK[IMG][IMG]

hear heroes to us from minute 2:40....simpley great!
i'm new to kalmah, but i definately like them more than etos or cob.
moon of my nights is also killer...the first (at least semi-)ballade from kalmah if i remember right
    just great
much more atmosphere than the older tracks

Wow, this is a lot of positive feedback, I can't wait to hear this album. I'm hoping to maybe pick it up while I'm in Italy (I get there on 6/23, which is when it's supposed to be released in Europe, right?). Otherwise, I'll order it from The End or wherever. AAAAgggh, I can't wait.

i would say its the most varied kalmah album yet, and also the first time they actually do sound like other bands a little here and there. i definately hear some cob and etos influence in many of the tracks. thats not a criticism, just an observation. they're trying new things and not just setting out to make another swamplord (which would be impossible anyway, that record is fucking magical) or TWR. it grows on me more each time i hear it. no doubt it will make my 2003 top 10.

There are just two words to say.. totally - amazing ;)

You can listen to it hundred of times and it wouldn't be boring..
Especially the new elements, like the viking-style vocals in The Third, The Magical are faszinating..

No doubt.. Swamplord is one of my favourite albums this year :)

I have both previous albums, i must say the recording got a lot better. drums, guitars, everything sounds wonderful. the songs are amazing. in track 3, there is a part a little bit into the song that has 4 guitars going at once. 2 harmony guitars, and then 2 harmony leads, so awesome, u guys deserve so much more credit. come to the states and get some fucking shirts!!!

Swampsong is very good. Better than "they will return" but not as good as "swamplord." i dont think they can ever top "swamplord" but this was a damn good try.

meanwhile I've been listening to kalmah albums over and over for many times ( oh wonder )
and the more often i read the lyrics while listening, the more i wish the lyrics would be better understandable  not necessarily clean in vocals but just a bit more understandable. kalmah lyrics make sense and have substance - almost a shame that you can hardly even guess what is sung if you don't know the lyrics by heart

Im having my first liasten and im really liking it a lot. I cant tell you which band i like better, these guys, or CoB. Im a real big CoB fan, and i cant even tell which one i like better. I like them both for different reasons, these guys a darker than bodom.

Good stuff, have to get a hold of swamplord.
