Then maybe I should try to tab my first song Roadkill Morning, but prepare to wait ^^ Alright, this is how far I got: http://www.sendspace.com/file/kq8tf7, not too far but I 'm in a hurry and someone's gotta tab the drums, bass and keyboard because I ain't pro yet
Thats a good start but its a little off. Check this one out. http://www.sendspace.com/file/z5n1td It's late and I've got class tomorrow (gotta learn them modal substitutionarythings) so maybe I'll continue it later. The first riff was close but it's in 3/4 for the first part (easier to write). Anyway feel free to elaborate on this.
someone correct me if i'm wrong but didn't warheart say he already had/was doing a tab of roadkill morning? someone should focus on songs that aren't already being done.
Yeah, you're right. After looking at Epi's tab and listening again, I can hear that F note afterwards. Good stuff, thanks alot. You do not need correcting. Check it out: http://www.sendspace.com/file/h3hfn7 The guitar solo sounds quiet but in the actual tab, it's a bit louder. That's one of the only ones in the first post that wasn't done by me or Epi. I just got it from some tab site 'cause it seemed accurate. I've never checked it.
It's the same song, with a different solo. What's the point. I was thinking about it but it's not exactly important. I'm sure any moron could figure out the new version by looking at the existing tab.
Now I don't really understand, have you tabbed the full song or not ? because I wanna do a tab never done one before... well I can make Wrath Within or something then.
Yes, I did it sounded great but it wasn't the whole song, btw it sounds like you clipped it somewhere after the solo ?
I've tabbed the entire thing from start to finish. What I uploaded was a SAMPLE of what my tab sounds like. Yes, I edited it in parts so you can hear all the important riffs in the song.
Aight, then I'm gonna go and tab some other song ^^ Or I'll just try to do the Roadkill Morning just to train tabbing because I love that song , sorry but I'm desperate !
Dedication. It's taking me ages to do One Day You Will Cry now 'cause I keep looking at the fucking forum every 5 minutes. But in terms of the actual tabbing itself, I can hear drums and tab 'em straight away and same with the guitar. I just have to repeat it a bit, find the first note and I'm off. I've kinda got relative pitch, so I can hear 2 notes, figure out the first one and work out by interval, what the second one is.
Well, that's maybe something I gotta improve then, I have been tabbing for like 1-2 hours and just 10 bars are done. [http://www.sendspace.com/file/gh1iwi Something is struggling at the 10th bar...
Of course it is, but don't expect it to come naturally in a few hours/days/weeks/months. I've been tabbing by ear since I started playing so for me, this stuff is a bit easier. Comments on your tab: I don't think it's in 4/4 with triplets. Tap your hand along with every kick drum. To me, THAT'S the beat. Quarter notes at 250bpm. If you do it properly, you should get 6 taps before every repeat of the riff. (6/4) If you listen to the verse, it's grouped in 2/4/8 etc, indicating 4/4 with 8th notes. Also, the chorus has a quick blast of 4 notes on the kick. 16th notes at 250bpm. I'd also re-check the end of bars 2, 4, 6 & 8.
