Agreed, a band in which the vocalist goes out in a konzert dressed like a woman definetly never jokes  :p .

Actually, I think DT is a pretty hilarious/not-serious band in many ways. I mean, just remember the tour bus that was full of porn! (it wasn't DT's but still :p ).

DT is quite serious when it comes to their music, I'm totally sure about that; but I feel that the band is so not serious about many things  .

It's like when Die Apokalyptischen Reiter did that Manowar cover  .

Concerning the video, it definetly has to be the official one! The guy did an amazing job, the timing was awesome (specially the drums! o_O ), and the scenes with the skeletons are just plain hilarious  .

    Hey guys!

I'm the one who produced and recorded the video to Terminus. I read your posts and wanted to thank you for the praises ;) I don't know if DT wanted to have the video as their official Promotion-Video, but it seems so ... I'm even confused by myself

To the question: It took a week to take all the pictures and to put them together to a video. If you have some other questions, I'll answer them willingly ;)

I finally took a look at it :)

It's funny, in a good way, not that I'm a big fan of stop-motion animation or LEGO, or that idea is new, but seeing something like that about DT was fun :)

A friend suggested last night after watching the clip that the fans might even make the connection between DT and Lego a recurring theme. A Lego tour bus, a Lego stage during a concert, Lego autograph signing sessions...

Well then, there is only one thing left to do.

We must build DT a lego tour bus. It shall be glorious.

I propose we give them their own lego bus, with blackjack...and hookers.

    In fact, forget the bus.

I propose we create giant lego statues of them and worship such statues, and offer them blood sacrifices, and throw parties in their behalf.

This would work even better if we did this beside a mountain while our prophet (which would first be elected via yet another poll) is atop communicating with Ra/Yahwe/the Demi-Urge.

This is certainly the funniest music-video I've seen in a while. What bothers me a bit is that on subsequent viewing it looks a bit too monotonous, and thus the reactions of the audience become less enthusiastic, as you can see below:

    1st time:
    2nd time: :tickled:
    3rd time: :D
    4th time: :heh:
    5th time: :)
    6th time:

The same problem probably applies to every humorous music-video, but this one doesn't really allow much repeated viewing.

Still, the first couple of times it was beyond amazing.

Am I alone thinking it applies to every video, period? I never thought music videos were meant for multiple viewings: you watch them once, you show them to your friends and you point and try to get everybody's attention when they're on TV, but that's it. Or not?

well, it depends. i don't remember if you ever got to see chris cunningham's video for bjork's all is full of love when we were in venice (i distinctly remember seeing it on show at the biennale, and doing so alone, but you might have gone on another day), but that's something that left me absolutely transfixed for about two hours. i got a copy a few weeks ago and still had to see it three or four times before i had enough. the same applies to a few of the videos that were made by someone whose name on teh intraweb is kristin1228, who did evanescence videos with scenes from the silence of the lambs dvd, although that was not exactly music videos in the classic sense, more like short features. another very amazing video is the one for body count's the winner loses, and also david bowie's jump, or nearly any eminem video, just to mention stuff off the top of my head. if a video tells a story, i personally like to watch it multiple times, a bit like listening to a song multiple times.

on the other hand, such videos are few and far between: there is not a single bad religion video that i can watch without feeling mildly discomfited, AFI's video for silver and cold was really ludicrous, etc... and most are just plain boring. for this large majority, what you said applies.
