Man, what's with you and naked chicks? (j/k)

Btw, your Bouguereau pics aren't showing up.

Bouguereau had some really nice nudes. This one's probably my favorite:

    Biblis (1884)

I also really like this one he did:

    The Nut Gatherers (1882)

I still remember when hanging out in the woods gathering nuts used to be fun. :)

Vihris, The one you quoted is one of my favorites. The coloring on that picture is a little different than the one on Beksinski's official page. I like the one on the official page better. It doesn't look so dark.

I was looking to maybe buy some prints or reproductions of his work, but even those are several hundred dollars.

Here is the official page with lots of good pictures of is work.

The crumbling skeletal corpses are depressing to look at, the rest looks stunning.

    Beksinski is just amazing.

Lorenzo Mariani. Just pencil and acrylics on paper.

 Nice. I like the Motorhead one. Lemmy's such a badass.

Yeah, I'd been to that site before. It kinda annoyed me because of the background music and all the flash shit, but upon returning I did find a better version of the one I was looking for.

Here's my screenshot of it, since it wouldn't let me right-click on the image:

Rene Magritte is probably one of my favorite painters...and I normally don't care too much for surreal art

For some reason, I find that one more fascinating or mysterious than depressing. But in general, yeah, Beksinski's skeletal images are pretty depressing. It doesn't help that the predominant color in most of his paintings is brown or grey.

This one actually made me laugh.

Those are okay, but it helps to have a little more complexity, like Dali uses. Those Magritte pieces are all extremely obvious in the concepts that they convey.
