I like that I'm able to go into each of these songs without expecting anything and just enjoying them for what they are. I actually get a huge "One Step Beyond" (album) vibe from this song. I like this song. I like LORD. Bring on the release date!
Too true. Make sure you leave the 'best' songs for the full album and not get the obligatory myspace treatment. I appreciate the song uploads, but some of the big moments should be reserved for when we finally get this bad boy in our grubby paws. That being said...i wouldn't say no to a few more

Yeah, next time the whole vibe of the album will be different. That's not to say we're not way happy with how this turned out but there's a lot of stuff we have planned for the next album where we don't have a "transitional" album to do (Ascendence had to have a lot of familiar stuff to get reacquainted with the Dungeon fanbase, and it also had to tell a bit of the back story for new fans), and we just simply didn't have the time to do a lot of the orchestrated ideas I had for this album - which in hindsight was good because it worked better with the overall goal of Ascendence by not having them. Apart from the overall goals of the next album being different, it'll likely all be recorded here at SLS Studios after the drum/vocal room is done. What that means is even at the demo stage, if I come up with a vocal I'm really happy with then it will likely make it to the final mix because it'll be recorded in the same way and same gear as the "real" vocal would be. Same for drums - if TY comes over to work on stuff and we mic him up just in case, there's a good chance we may even end up with a proper drum take for the next album. Essentially, it's giving us a lot more freedom to try out ideas and expand on them over time as opposed to going "oh shit, we gotta nail this in 3 days or else!" and try to get our best performances out all at once - and that's rarely possible (having said that, I reckon we actually managed to pull it off this time, which is astounding!). I'm actually really excited about starting work on the next album once everything's in place. There's a lot of big things on the horizon.
Took a listen to Going Down and it rocks! I've honestly been listening to it for the last hour straight. Knowing that this song is this good it makes me wonder what the rest of the album is going to be like. Nothing sort of amazing!

But I don't need to hear it to know it is going to blow my mind! I just can't wait till the album comes out! LOL! Thanks much for the kind words man! I only just got a chance to listen to Going Down. Fucking GREAT. Nice harmonies, a chorus that I know is going to take about 4 or 5 spins before it gets in my head like a fucking Goa'uld and that wonderful Myspace touch on the mix . I think the clean arpeggioed chords are just a little too close to Ever-Frost though...
