It's good, overrated though imo, the story is pretty stupid, but the emotions in it weights it up.

Wth, forgot GTO and Golden Boy in my list of favs, two brilliant animes.

I forgot FMA. I like that too.
Also, I saw part of the first episode of Elfen Lied. It was some naked chick walking around a lab killing people with her mind in extremely gory ways.

Trinity Blood is pretty cool. The only shows I ever watched with any regularity were Dragonball Z and Zoids

I already made an anime thread :(

I´ve recently found a series called "Shigurui",some really fucking brutal stuff, heads chopped in half and stuff like that. A really good samurai series, not many people seem to know about it.

What was that series with the guy who wears a suit, has an android for a maid, and has a giant robot to combat his enemies in Paradigm City? I thought that was pretty cool.

Yeah, it's one of my favorites. The same guy that did Haibane Renmei did it.

Some other favorites that everyone should check out are Mushishi and Kino no Tabi.

Two animes i would recommend are Berserk and Claymore. Both are very bloody and violent and take place in a fantasy setting. I think metalheads especially would really enjoy those.

Berserk is definetly at the top of the stack, as is Neon Genesis Evangelion.

As far as movies go, Appleseed and Appleseed: Ex Machina were pretty damn good. Ex Machina on Blu Ray was amazing.

Hellsing pwns all. I'm not exactly an anime connoisseur, but that is one damn stylish series. And the soundtrack is fantastic.

It depends on the anime, in my opinion. Cowboy Bebop is better with subtitles, Kenshin is better dubbed. Again, just my opinion.

i've mostly only watched anime on adult swim. cowboy bebop, bleach, samurai champloo and blue gender back in the day. i recently dived into elfin lied, its peaked my interest into looking for more of the violent/gory kinda stuff. by the previous posts it looks like berserk and claymore are the next in line.

@ender- how much better is the subbed version of cowboy bebop over the dubbed? i've only seen the latter but i thought it was well done.
