I do admit that there is pretty shitty beer out there but when there's nothing else on a party I'm just glad that after 15 I don't taste the diffrence anymore :p

and for the record: Belgian beer = win

I am going to be in Belgium for about a week this summer, mainly Brussels and Bruges. Any brewery recommendations, aside from the very well known ones?

I hereby retract all previous statements along the lines of "such and such beer/cider rules/ftw/is awesome", out of respect for the tankard of Hobgoblin that is sat next to me.

I may never sup a lesser ale again.

I think I had some of that 6 or 7 years ago. As I remember, it was pretty foul.

Today I'm off to my parents who live in Tornedalen (Torne River Valley) which is only separated by the Torne River from Finland. This ALWAYS means a trip over the waters to buy a 12 pack of Karhu + and a 6 pack of Koff (per person of course). Then we'll fire up the sauna, me and my bro's, and I bet ya we'll still be in there at 3 or 4 tonight. Long sauna sessions and beer drinking in my speciality

Can't wait for my last class today to end. My social studies pupils are currently rehearsing a play. I've rewritten Les Misérables to fit modern times and the school situation. Will be fun watching them perform it in two weeks.

^sauna and beer do not go together imo. No beer is better than warm beer. Beer needs to be cold when you drink it. Tastes waaaay better :kickass:

Anything with a Viking on it has to be awesome. The world needs more Vikings.

When we drink, we get drunk.
When we get drunk, we fall asleep.
When we are asleep, we commit no sin.
When we commit no sin, we go to heaven.
So, let's all get drunk and go to heaven!

Not all beers. Most British ales shouldn't be over-chilled. Just tonight I went into a pub, ordered a pint of Brains Reverend James (a damn good beer if ever there was one), only for it to be ruined by just being too damn cold. It's a simple equation - if there's condensation forming on the side of the glass, you need to turn down the cooler.

I've just noticed he completely contradicted himself.
I think you mean no beer is worse than a warm beer :)

well, it shouldn't be ice cold, around 4-5 °C is good enough imo

euhm, no, I really meant no beer is better than warm beer. Warm beer never tastes good

I love beer!:) My favourite alcoholic drink I think. I don't know the difference between lager and beer. I don't have a favourite beer (or lager), any will do just fine :D
I can't stand cider (although I can now drink it without tasting it, what a skill!), wine, champagne, Tia Maria or vodka :/

I know little of beer sadly, though it is natural given I am still 21.

Warlord (he is the singer for Turisas, right?) had a Yuengling in Raleigh; is that one any good?
