Why not get a nice list started. Xmas is just around the corner, and alot of you will probably be looking for something to keep your metal appetite quenched over the holidays.

And yes, we all know Dungeon - The Final Chapter is the greatest album ever created, but let's say we couldn't select that. List your favs guys and gals.

Seventh Wonder - Waiting in the Wings (amazing amazing album)
    Iron Fire - Revenge
    Vanden Plas - Christ 0
    Mystic Prophecy - Savage Souls
Galneryus - Beyond the End to Despair
    Axxis - Paradise in Flames
    Persuader - When Eden Burns
    Viron - NWOGHM

Looks like symphy x, silent force, and iron savior will have to wait till next year :(

Agalloch - Ashes Against the Grain
    Enslaved- Ruun

(and once i get Negura Bunget - Om and the Ne Obliviscaris EP im sure they will be on the list)

I think it has been a shitty year where the good releases have been few and far between. Between the shitty retro revival (Points directly at those wankers, The Sword), subpar releases from cool bands and more utter shit then you can poke a stick at, here are my picks:

    Incantation - Primordial Domination
    Nortt - Ligfaerd
Elysian Blaze - Levitating the Carnal
    Zemial - In Momentum
    Xasthur - Subliminal Genocide
    Mephistopheles - Ascension Aborted
Om - Conference of the Birds
The Abominable Iron Sloth - s/t

    Still to hear

    Unearthly Trance
    Sunn/Boris Split
    Coffins
    Deicide

I was thinking about Xasthur's latest release, but I personally feel that "To Violate the Oblivious" is his crowning glory. Fantastic album, rich with creativity.

Me neither. Awful snore-inducing songwriting and woeful production. Dickinson sounds truly dire.

Yeah I got that album when it first came out as well. Pretty good album, don't know how it will rate in my top list for me. I gotta go through all the albums I have from this year again to make a full evaluation. A lot of albums to get through and still more to come.

The new maiden album is their best album since Seventh Son. I'm truly sorry that some of you can't see that.
