I always thought the first 2 brutality cds were some of the most killer atmospheric oldschool death metal albums and no one agrees. You are the first person i have seen online. The first 2 are some of the better florida death metal albums. Brutality was on a major label and no one still seemed to give a crap.

Brutality was ten times better than obituary and monstrosity(though the first 2 kick ass).

What does Fester 'silence' sound like and what year is it.

I agree about Brutality, very underrated.

The Fester is pretty decent (proper) melodic death metal, although the vocals are a ridiculous weak whisper. I recommend their first album, Winter Of Sin.

    Countess - Heilig Vuur
    Isvind - Dark Waters Stir
    Nav' - Halls of Death
    Graveland - Thousand Swords
    Argentum - Ad Interitum Funebrarum
    Moonblood - Blut & Krieg

Drudkh - Blood in Our Wells. Solid as expected one of the frontrunners for album of the year.

Leviathan - Tentacles of Whorror. I'm really liking this so far. Need a few more listens to digest the whole thing, but I really like what he does with the bass and the ambient bits.

Anathema - A Fine Day to Exit. Good music. Why has no one signed this band still?

Nortt/Xasthur. A nice melancholic work here.

Drudkh - Forgotten Legends. I could put this on repeat for the rest of my life and probably never get tired of it. I'll probably try to end up covering False Dawn this summer.

Because they're now too fucking gay for metal heads, and too obscure for mainstream rock fans. Whenever a trad rock or pop mag writes about them, they feel obliged to mention their doom/death past, which makes 99.9% of readers think "shit", and ergo no one will buy their records. They seriously peaked with "Eternity" i.m.o. Their latter stuff is just more droning Coldplay esque tosh.

    Last 5 played:

Death Angel - The Art of Dying
Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell
    Megadeth - Rust in Peace
    Decapitated - Organic Hallucinosis
    Motorhead - Overkill
