No Spoilers... for all ya fanboys and fangirls...

    All style and no substance...
it looked pretty, but it didn't impress me... It was better than Reloaded...
When you wish one of the characters to die and one to DIE FASTER!... then you have a problem with the scene (I couldn't possibly have a problem, dammit...)...

the scene at Club Hell made me laugh... it looked like the Wachowskis cleaned out every S&M store in Oz...

No exciting car chase to redeem this one... and they exhausted every single war movie cliche in the books... but again... not a horrible movie...
not a good one either... but then again... I wasn't expecting it

Bring on the Lord of the Rings...

Second review that I've seen that's been less than stellar. I may wait a while to see this, especially considering how bad the last movie was.

One thing I thought was good... how they explained the change in the Oracle... since the original actress passed away... Pretty classy, I thought...
I thought the first one was good, but when I watched it again... I found it rather silly... especially the scene where Trinity and Neo walk into the building where the agents are holding Morpheus... all the shooting and slow-mo cart-wheeling.... yikes...
In this one... there's more of that...
    I'M GOING TO RANT

There's this 5 minute shoot-em-up scene, where Trinity, Morpheus and Seraph (the program protecting the Oracle), go to Club Hell to see the Meravingian (silly French dude that speaks in riddles and won't shut up) to find Neo. The three and some of the Meravingian's hench-programs, shoot each other for 5 minutes in slow motion... If I had a watch... I would have been looking at it at this point...
No chemistry WHATSOEVER between Neo and Trinity... Carrie-Ann Moss looks like she's going to toss her cookies if she has to kiss Keanu Reeves one more time...
The only two redeeming factors in the acting come from Hugo Weaving (he rules... check out The Interview and The Adventures of Priscilla: Queen of the Desert)as rogue program Agent Smith, and Jada Pinkett-Smith as Captn Naobe... They don't give Fishburne that much to muck up in this one... the speech from Reloaded before the Rave scene... UGH

I'd have to disagree with that. It was far far better than part 2, yes, but I felt that they were intentionaly set up, and going for, more action this time. Only part that disapointed me, really was the last 15 minutes. It's worth the price of admission tho! :)

And yes, the S&M club made me laugh. Made me think of a piece of original art I bought that is hanging in a club like that in Scotland. hehe. Speaking of laughing, there was quiet a bit of humor in this one, and it worked well.

This is a good movie, but not great and without giving away anything for those who have not seen it I will say this:

I am still at a loss about alot of things. I dont think they explained things in the end very well at all and it is definitely setup for another movie. Also, something about the last little conversation between two "people" that left me wondering what it all was really about. And the club Hell scene was not really needed either, Still not sure how to take it all. I love movies like this, I am a huge Star Wars fan, borderline geek actually, and LOTR for sure, but this one left me wondering TOO much...It is the 3rd and (supposed) last movie, spell the mother fucker out fuck sake...

Some of the scenes were very drawn out. I am all for action and fighting, but there was some overkill here. I will go see it again and buy the DVD when it comes out.

    Anyway...

they didn't need a lot of scenes... this "trilogy" should not have gone past one movie... The novelty of the first one, really, was the special effects... after those got copied a thousand times over, it wasn't so special anymore... Neat story, great effects, not much else... but, then again, I believe all three movies have one redeeming factor... Hugo "Lord Elrond" Weaving
Lots of flash... no substance... and the substance it pretended to have in the second and third, seemed to have come from the Cliff's Notes edition of Philosophy for Dummies.

I'll actually agree there, although I didn't even think the 1st movie was that great. I mean, was Keanu the best actor they could get? The marketing dept. just crammed this movie down peoples throats and most seemed to bite, not me. There's a similar styled movie done last year on a smaller budget with a much better cast called, 'Equilibrium' that I liked more.

    oh yes, I loved Equilibrium...
definitely a much better cast... Christian Bale was great (perfect choice for American Psycho)
