Agreed. 300 = Awful.
I watched The Departed the other night. Except for the last 20mins or so it was awesome.
The original ('Infernal Affairs') is much better.
Lol Versus made me laugh but it was a pretty sweet movie, apparently they're making a sequel.
Anyone ever see Teeth?
Saw Kung Fu Panda last night... would rate it up there with my favourite movies of the past couple of years.
I remember seeing that long ago, don't recall much about it though. This one was good except the last half of the last act seemed to be set up wholly so that Wahlberg's character would be the only one left.
Batman..... believe the hype!
Out of 10?
I'd give it a 9. Only loses a point for being a bit long. It didn't drag, but you definately feel the length
I just saw Dark Knight...Holy shit, great movie. Heath Ledger was just amazing, when he was on screen you forgot to breath. He defiantly deserves an Oscar for that performance, shame he wouldn't be around to accept it.
For me it wasn't long enough I wanted more!
Just because he was wearing a nurse's outfit doesn't mean he's a woman But I have to agree though, fucking AWESOME movie. Heath was brilliant as the joker. I'm usually never inclined to go see a movie a second time around, but this I would definitely see again.
To think that he was only just reaching the beginning of his peak too.
It's performances like his that make me laugh about how fanboys carry on during the production of movies. I remember when it was announced that he was playing the Joker, the reactions ranged from "woah, didn't expect that" to "Nolan raped my childhood!"
Fanboys still won't like it.
Surprisingly, the reactions have been overall positive.... they just find other stuff to nitpick about the movie. Main thing being Christian Bale's voice when he's Batman
Yes, his voice annoyed me at times. It was too deep at times and you couldn't hear what he said. I am not sure if that was the speakers making it muddy because there was to much bass, or it was his voice.
But I would hate to be Christian Bale, you are the main character and you are just over shadowed by all the other performances. I suppose all the other batmans are the same except for the one with Schwarzenegger.
Just saw Dark Knight. I thought it was brilliant, and while it was long, it didnt feel like it was dragged on, and to shorten it would not do the film justice. Ledger was awesome, and the only real nitpicky things that I can say is Christian Bales voice did get kind of annoying towards the end, and how Lucious Fox and Batman can make highly complex devices in an afternoon. But that is nothing compared to the sheer awesomeness of the movie.
The Dark Knight = 9.5/10 imo
Hmm... I think I'm maybe the only person in the universe that wasn't blown away by Batman.
It really felt convoluted and both rushed and dragged at the same time in places, and way over long. The acting, on the other hand, was awesome.
It wasn't a BAD film by any stretch of the imagination but really kind of missed the mark for me for some reason.... *shrugs*
