Saw The Forbidden Kingdom. Thought it was a really fun movie, the fighting was great. Typical old school kung fu storyline too :kickass:

I'm with ya there Tim. Acting was awesome (Ledger was great and Aaron Eckhart is always worth watching), production and photography were both top notch. I thought the script was okay, there was some really clunky dialogue here and there, but it wasn't too bad. The plot I thought was ridiculous and for the amount of praise this film is getting for its dark themes and mature angles, everyone seems to forget just how Joel Schumacher-ish things get at the end with Batman doing something completely inexplicable with everyone's mobile phones, and an entire plot point involving two boats, two bombs and a whole lot of stupidity.

Like you said it wasn't a bad film by any means, but number 1 on IMDb? I was left feeling very 'meh' after the whole thing, which is pretty much how I felt after seeing Batman Begins.

    Paging AdamS...

The 40-Year-Old Virgin co-stars Steve Carell and Seth Rogen are to reteam for a new Ghostbusters movie, according to Internet reports. The funnymen are at the centre of a huge new movie rumour, which has been reported by DreadCentral.com. According to “a reliable source, who cannot be named”, Carell and Rogen will join the original four Ghostbusters, Dan Akroyd, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson, for a third film. According to the website, the original GhostBusters stars will hand over their “proton packs” to the new guys, for what insiders believe will be a new run of spook-chasing movies.

Personally, I think this is bunkum. Murray has long said that he has no interest in another ghostbusters movie. The upcoming computer game was supposed to be a compromise to get something out under the franchise that he'd participate in. Still, IF (and its a big IF) they do it right, I'd like to see it, but I'm not holding my breath...

I freaked out when i started reading that until it mentioned it would have all the original actors in it. Is there any movie Carrell hasn't been in? Hope they go somewhere new with this, i'm tired of Carell being cast as roles that have already been done so well (i.e. the Office, Get Smart)

Apparently there is a rumor that Depp might play the Riddler. He pretty much turns everything into gold.

I'd say it's still too early to have anyone cast for the next Batman. There's "reports" going around as well that Angelina Jolie has been "cast" to play Catwoman

I will personally avoid the film like the plague if AJ has anything to do with it

Notwithstanding that EVERY time someone has tried to make a movie with catwoman in it, the thing has flopped bigtime.

It's a fucking stupid premise that's why. Maybe if she was bad-ass and her suite was made of human skin or something.
