    You think brave new world is mediocre? I know it cant measure up with the old stuff but its definately much better than the preceeding four albums

    I agree... Brave new world wasn't bad at all... Faaaaaar better than the "Blaze years"... But I've nothing against Blaze... he wasn't able to sing old Maiden tunes perfectly, and his new band is good... :p

    sentenced are death metal? i must be deaf then... carcass was the best death metal band i reckon.

    really "rotten" sound they had. heard some songs but never was a big fan or something.

    well, im not too fond of DAWN but the last three ones are good enough for me liking. all the other metal bands i heard the last few years are shit copies of slayer, metallica, iron maiden, helloween, death, judas priest or....sentenced heh. ah samael is well decent too. and thats about all hehe.

    Yeah the production suited that album perfectly. I dont get why death or black metal bands go for a posh, clean production :erk: Doesnt make sense to me.

    if we generalize sentenced is a copy of iron maiden, too. i think you exeggerate, your generalization goes too far.

    heavy metal was never meant to be nice. its about skulls and motorbikes, loads of booze, denim and leather, smelly boots, dirty sounding albums.

    but these days most music that people calls metal have nothing to do with what you're saying about. and nothing you can do. times are still changing....

    in the early nineties the big labels saw they could cash in on heavy music, that when it all went tits up. That black Metallica album pisses me off. Enter Sandman me arse

    yeah, i know. i wouldn't listen to darkthrone for example if they had a cleaner sound. they have a great sound.
