From Jonas e-mail: "I'm working night and day with the new Katatonia aswell... " In monday guys went to Örebro (Dan Swanö town).
Wow, I'm really looking forward to the new album...so many great albums coming out next year. Trav, the Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack is great...Danny Elfman did a really nice job. I also can't help but love the film, Tim Burton is a genius of sorts.
@ soul: agreed. @ Nord: No...all that stuff was alive when i started it. HEHEHEHEHEHEHE... um, what KIND of poster?,,,, T
@Opethian soul: lol, nice conditional statement you have there under your signature. It really, um... stands out!
I trust it will be another masterpiece. I´m curious to hear if there has been a big change compared to the last three albums, which, even if with some differences, are in the same vein. This thing about it being harder and darker...I´m also very curious to read the lyrics and last but not least, I´m looking forward to seeing the cover and the artwork. Trav, I expect an awesome work from you too!
Here's some info Mr. Swanö was gratious enough to give me through email: This is the deal about Katatonia I have helped them to get a better drumsound and rhythmguitar sound The basic recordings from Soundtrade lacked some "bite" and with some hitech magic I solved a lot of problems for them. I was in the studio (Studio Kuling) www.studiokuling.se and uploaded my files today and hung out and made sure everything rocked like it should Anders and Jonas is there completing some vocal work in the B studio (Same as where I did the Nightingale vocs) while Jens Bogren mixes the album in the big studio downstairs. I can assure you that the album won't satisfy even the most pessimistic Katatonia fan. it kicks ass! Thanks Dan!
Wow, thanks Ormir for getting in contact with Dan and therefore of course many thanks to Dan too So let's all just trust Dan's words
No doubt, BIG Thanks to Ormir for getting the Info Im so stocked i cant even wait, Its gonna kick my sorry ass i have no doubt
