This track listing just does not seem right... it sounds like a black metal band.

Maybe they gave a false one out on purpose?

Well they are signed with Roadrunner now, maybe they were all like "Okay,, guys, I know you're not Metalcore, but this isn't metalcore enough."

 Now that you mention it, it does look like a Black Metal track listing.

This album, much like all albums since Scenes, is the creation of DT and only DT with no label touch. Even moreso with this album, as they worked and got to the mixing stage even before the RR deal went official and public.

Heh! It doesn't have to have mentionings of gr1m evilness or fr0stbitten forests! It still sounds black metal-ish to me.

Yeah, because Lord knows doing three-second comedic bits at live gigs is a waterproof symptom of having a huge ego.

Not sure what you're specifically referring to about Octavarium, but how the hell does playing video game themes and the like constitute having an ego?

Neither do I... it's just that you enjoy riding the Anti-DT bandwagon a little too much.

Maybe you didn't read all the posts where I stated that I enjoy most of their albums, have been to their concerts at least 6 times, and own 2 of the DVDs?

A little critique is healthy. The "all positive" people are just fanboys.
