Yeah this was a bummer to find out about. Mark Coles Smith is playing a young Jay Swan but I'm not very familiar with him so I dunno. Might suck. If they keep the tone the same it will at least be worth checking out I suppose.

Oh and it's being filmed in Kalgoorlie which is cool.

I remember him from Micallef's Mad as Hell and Halifax. He's not a bad actor but I think if they remain true to what we know of Jay Swan he's got a hard role to fill. From the history we've been given with Pederson in the role Jay's had a pretty hard life, both hard living and hard fighting to get where he did. I'll still watch it when it comes out but I do like Pederson and would like to see them continue the story.

Hey CiG not sure if you've seen Last Cab To Darwin but the young aboriginal guy that Michael Canton's character picks up along the way is the guy who will play the role of Jay Swan. I'd forgotten he was in that, he played a good role along side Michael, if he can take some of that into Mystery Road he should do a pretty good job.

Finished with season two of Mystery Road and since I recently watched Taylor Sheridan's new movie Those Who Wish Me Dead (which was awesome) I decided to rewatch season one of Yellowstone. Forgot how much crazy shit goes down in just the first few episodes.

Yellowstone's good enough to rewatch? Rarely heard anyone mention it.

First season is, especially if you like Taylor Sheridan's style. I think I remember Dak saying the following seasons go downhill though.

I just started watching Katla on Netflix. I recommend it for fans of Dark. It has stronger ecological components than Dark, but an equally unsettling premise and atmosphere. Two episodes in and I'm hooked.

God damn it. I don't wanna bitch out and stop at the first season again, but nobody is really giving me much reason to do otherwise.

I rewatched the whole series a couple months ago. That series goes down so easy, I feel like I could binge the whole run in a week if I had no other obligations.

This is a huge loss obviously :( Not the most diverse actor (I guess having a huge scar across your face inevitably leads to some typecasting) but he's made an impression in everything I've seen him in.

I came across this image on reddit and it reminded me that these two actors actually played the same character (PSH in Happiness and MKW in Life During Wartime) and died the same way. Tragic coincidence.

One of my favourite MKW moments is when he was on Opie & Anthony and it took him ages to realise Jim Norton, one of the guys interviewing him, was on Lucky Louie and then he melted down into a fanboy.

Been watching that show Gangs of London co-created and action choreographed by Gareth Evans. So fucking good.

Been meaning to check that out.

I started this random show Netflix recommended me called Squid Game. Death game-type thing where indebted Koreans sign up to play children's games where they die if they lose. A bit trashy but I'm digging it! Kinda reminds me of Kaiji sometimes.

I watched the first ep last night. Tired concept but they made it feel pretty fresh and interesting.

Update: Finished it, loved it. Definitely up there with Battle Royale as one of my favorite takes on the survival game premise. That episode fucked me up.
