hi, just wondered what was the sadest song u ever heard, that really touched u?
"One Last Goodbye".. especially when I heard what it's about
Also "Tears In Heaven".. a bit a longer story.. When all the things happened with Marc Dutroux.. It was one of his victim's fav songs and they showed scenes from her funeral when this song was played. Since then every time I hear it I have to think about that.
really, really its "One Last Goodbye" by a band named Anathema
been seriously is the one that make me almost cry
As Tears Go By by the Rolling Stones. Deffo...
One last goodbye is really so sad
but I think Anathema's song that touched me the most was Lost Control, when I first heard that I really felt with it (was a crap time...)...
Also My Dying Bride - For My Fallen Angel and Tiamat - Gaia
and some Irish song I dont remember the name...
yeah one last goodbye
and recently 'Jelena' from the gathering
those are most emotional for me at the moment...
just a few
My Dying Bride - For My fallen Angel
Anathema - One last Goodbye/Inner silence
Dead Can Dance - The Wind That shakes The Barley (maybe this is the irish song you though of dragonlady? if not check it out anyhow)
Black Tape for A Blue girl - With My Sorrow/Broken Glass
hm, no, it was an old irish song, I really dont remember the name of it
but anyway will check that one out too
theres hundreds of 'em, remember any of the lines??
'Reaching Happiness, Touching Pain' by Cathedral is a really uplifting song. :Smug:
'Sleep In Sanity' by Anathema as well.
Some moments on 'As The Flower Withers'. NOT on 'Sear Me' when Aaron growls like a retard.
Anything by Electric Wizard because they just make you want to give up.
Anything by Robbie Williams is sad too. Just in a different way.
unfortunately not was a very special situation, just know that the song made me cry...
suicide veil is probably the sadest anathema song.
concerning other artists... there's lots i guess but one that comes in mind is cave's weeping song. it's wonderful that tune... and really bitter.
Tori Amos: Purple People
Thunder wishes it could be the snow
Wishes it could be as loved as she can be
These gifts are here
For her, for you, for me
And on and on the nurses make it clear
Just when you've escaped you have yourself to fear
A restaurant that never has to close
Breakfast every hour, it could save the world
Tori Amos: Gold Dust
I have your photographs
And the sun on your face
I'm freezing that frame
And somewhere Alfie cries
And says "Enjoy his every smile
You can see in the dark
Through the eyes of Laura Mars"
How did it go so fast
You'll say as we are looking back
And then we'll understand
We held gold dust in our hands
gold dust is a winner indeed, real sad one!
what comes to my mind at the moment is:
The 3rd and the Mortal- Why so lonely, Autopoema
Dreadful Shadows- Torn Being
Anathema- one last goodbye, lost control
Mogwai- Take me somewhere nice
sabbath - solitude, planet caravan
one more: The Gathering- Bad Movie Scene
* Anathema: "Lost control"
* Devin Townsend: "The death of music"
* Jeff Buckley: "Halellujah"
* My dying bride: "for my fallen angel"
* Lacuna coil: "Falling"
* Pink floyd: "Wish you were here"
* The gathering: "Rollercoaster"
You got so sad just by mentioning them?
I'm getting sad, too. Communal sadness we all need.
love hurts (thats a sad song too btw...)
