My heart can no longer handle this sport.
Seeing Croatia down from the 25th min against Georgia wanting to throw my computer out the window and wishing death upon the whole team. Then 75th min we score then 78th score again and we are in the lead and I have never been so happy and relieved in my life. All this against a minnow like Georgia.
Those 90 minutes really are an emotional roller coaster.
Best goalkeeping error!
The last strike. Pretty cool video all up.
Haha those are both cool. Players at that level are very impressive.
The double save @ 56sec is pretty impressive
To think he makes a double save like that, then at the under-17s WC this happens.
What a goal!
Really fucking loving the MLS lately (although I'm sure I would have before, I just didn't have foxtel before), half decent football most of the time and the active support is fucking impressive, especially in Seattle and Portland. Give the MLS 5-10 years or so and I predict it will be one of the top leagues in the world.
Don't see that happening, TBH. They just buy washed up hacks from Europe, but I do like how they are building boutique stadiums for football specifically and the fact that they have a salary cap. Stadiums that seat about 15k to 20k are my favorite stadiums, after going Wembly not a fan of these 80k seaters.
Rockdales stadium out at Bicentenial Park or Bankstowns home ground are probably my favourite in Aus, reminds me of Blue Square league. And no the Bankstown one isn't a fav because it's neighbor is Seftons Playhouse!
I much prefer the smaller grounds. Big ones are only good when they're full.
For a popular league 20,000 seater is awesome. I like Melbourne Hearts new ground, that full would create a better atmosphere than MCG full.
I suppose I am a bit of a purist though.
AAMI Park is a brilliant ground, I've been there twice now and I think it's probably the best in the league.
Melbourne derby at AAMI = best sports atmosphere in Australia
Only because the best one is played behind closed doors.
Yeah I've been to AAMI once, and it's brilliant. I should really go to another game there. Maybe for that derby or for a Storm game.
I'll come out and say it... not a fan of Jonathan Thurston, but bugger me, that was a brutal injury. I was sitting in the hotel bar with about 20 people and not a single person could watch the replay
Another wounder goal from MLS
I only saw the pregame show and the first 10 minutes. Listening to Phil Gould pretty much turned me off ever wanting to watch the sport again, not that I enjoyed it in the first place but I wanted to give it one more chance.
His best comment in the game was. "The crowd is at fever pitch, I have heard nothing like it". Yet at the same time you could hear the players talk.
Any videos of this injury, I do enjoy that part of the sport?
Is that a baseball stadium or NFL?
