I have been using hi-quality recording gear for many years and wanted to know how good sound can you get with a 149 € drum mic set and 199 € preamp/converter.

Let me know what you think!

Bumping this up, as I just saw it.
You got better results with this gear than many of the people I went to school with did, with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth in outboard, mics, and AD/DAs

It just shows knowing how to use the gear is equally if not more important than the gear.

Thanks guys! I'm not saying I'm the greatest drummer (the song is super easy), but source is really the king in drum sound.

    1. Great consistent drummer
    2. Great sounding kit and room
    3. Recording engineer's skills
    3. Recording gear

    Do you agree?
