I mean, I'm not crazy about them. They sound about as decent as Sepultura would be right now if Max had never left, but they can't fuck with Chaos AD or anything before. They're just good for a band of people who've been around that long. I'd probably take newer Soulfly to be honest.

Andreas Kisser still plays guitar, so that helps, if he leaves though? Don't know if I can rightly consider them as Sepultura any longer.

I would agree. The original bass player is there but yeah.

Yeah, Kisser keeps it legitimate, man is a fixture of metal guitar, twisted, bent sounding riffs and solos with a techy edge. He's the reason I keep going to their shows when they come around. Derrick ain't bad, but Igor and Max need to come back already.

My favourite band automatically is Between the Buried and Me. Their music consists of complex, amazing drums and cool guitar riffs which is like ear candy to me. They also mix fast elements and slow elements throughout their songs in a way that flows well when you're listening to a full album. They really do give an experience unlike any other band would.

:kickass: Agreed, by far one of the greatest thrash vocalists. Has very wide range.

And as far as Sepultura goes, Roots was the nail in the coffin. But yeah, Kisser is one of my all-time favorite guitarists.

Favourite metal band atm. Immolation from the U.S.A.
Veterans of the death metal craft and still putting out quality work
    since 1988.

Ross Dolan is standard epicness as the main vocalist as well.
Though he is wearing a bit on the voice.

Back to the topic of Sepultura, I love Roots. It's no Arise or Chaos A.D., but it's very good. I love their mix of downtuned nu-metal riffs with tribal beats. It's heavy as hell.

It's absolutely terrible to me. Don't know how anybody can enjoy such tripe as well as such a comparatively bad album in their development.

To fall from such great heights...

I'll have to revisit Roots for the 1996 poll, but Schizophrenia and Beneath the Remains will always reign supreme to me.

Hard to believe they even came from the same band if you consider their Roots and onward material.

I like some of the latest stuff the current version has put out but that shouldn't surprise anyone.

Roots is shit. These vocals are cringeworthy, everything is cringeworthy. Not even buying this dookie.
