The last pop punk album I did was recorded in seven days. You can check that out here: http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/andy-sneap/562727-any-lovers-pop-punk-here.html It definitely has quite a bit of tuning, but I like to think I did a decent job keeping it transparent. -Greg
Okay first of all, I don't really care if people use it or not, but what a lot of you are ignoring, is the fact that autotune CAN be used subtlety and let through slightly flat and sharp notes, and in fact if it's done well it probably does. Or sometimes is not used on all sections, just certain passages. Just the fact that certain notes are not perfectly in tune doesn't mean autotune wasn't used.
As far as I'm concerned, if anyone has any kind of success at all, they're doing something right. More power to 'em!
Was listening to Whatever and Ever Amen by Ben Folds Five recently. Plenty of flat moments in the song "Brick", but it doesn't bother me, because Ben Folds is a strong vocalist anyway
I was hoping this thread would deliver. It didn't . I just read the whole thing and decided "worthless thread is worthless."
Devin Townsend does use autotune as an effect, you can even see him talking about it in the Supercrush PT video on Youtube.
I've never used autotune before....i always use melodyne haha are you kidding me dude? Only 30 days? I did an album for Victory Records and only had 21 days....including all editing and mixing fml
