I'm sorry, I have to edit mine, I completely forgot about Windir's Arntor! To keep things simple if you've already tallied scores for my list, i'll just replace Soilwork's APP with Windir's Arntor. Please account for that! Thanks!

My thoughts too. Why not start this back up again? I wonder if they even had a single voting round after everyone submitted hundreds of albums. Oh well though.

Wow. I totally blocked it from my consciousness that I ever liked Dummu Borgir that much

Opeth doesn't float my boat as much as they used to (still like them, but it doesn't seem as great as it once did), but most of those black metal albums would still be in my top 20-25 black metal albums and I still think Neurosis, Agalloch, and MDB are the best at their respective genres.

Just winging it my top 20 metal albums today would be (unranked):

    Black Sabbath- Paranoid
    Black Sabbath- Mob Rules
Judas Priest- Sad Wings of Destiny
    Judas Priest- Painkiller
Iron Maiden- Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
    Dio- Holy Diver
    Slayer- Reign in Blood
    Agalloch- The Mantle
    Neurosis- Through Silver in Blood
My Dying Bride- Angel and the Dark River
    Burzum- Hvis Lyset Tar Oss
    Burzum- Filosofem
Emperor- Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk
    Darkthrone- Transilvanian Hunger
Darkthrone- A Blaze in the Northern Sky
    Deathspell Omega- Fas...
    Deathspell Omega- Paracletus
    Velvet Cacoon- Genevieve
Mutiilation- Remains of a Ruined, Cursed and Dead Soul
    Immortal- Pure Holocaust

The biggest difference is I've gained much more of an appreciation for more traditional heavy metal. Still don't find even my favorite death metal albums to reach me in the way the best black metal albums do...
