There's also an Irish one out, Bushmills.

Beam's is the weakest at 60 proof. I notice the shot glass is quite sticky after a few belts. I can't remember if the others (Evan Williams, Wild Turkey) were like that.

I mixed in a bit of vodka to give it more kick.

    smooth!

Not sure, haven't seen it around in public much but I imagine the girls will latch onto it. I'm not to keen on mixing it with fizzy drink, it'll be bogan big time when they do an alcopop version.

It's pretty new. The JD one has only been available here for a few weeks. I got some at LAX on the way back here. It goes alright.

Sadly he's still going to be our next PM :(

Funny thing is, of all the people I know who are into politics (whether they be labour, liberal, green or independant), I can't name a single one who thinks Abbott will do anything other then destroy the country

I think 'destroy the country' is a bit extreme.

No beef at all with yerself Todd but I do reckon that its weird and a bit sad how the far right wing has rabbited on with extremist language so much that we're all using it now (I caught myself doing it the other day). We used to just say 'He's an idiot, he'd be a bad PM'.

Listening to a Queen album yesterday, my oldest son got interested in Flash. SO I told him all about it, found some Youtube clips, and from there let him discover the wonder that is BRIAN BLESSED. (you legally have to write his name like that. UN regulation, we're all signatory).

And today we got the video of Flash Gordon. It was a roaring success. Never mind the 21st century digital kids, 80s smoke bombs and skinny Robby Coltraine dangling from a rope had them all enraptured. I also hadn't seen it in a couple of decades, I love the way it goes "Yeah, I'm incredibly corny, but that's why I'm smiling and you're moping on the couch worried about your hairstyle". More movies should be like that today. Avengers came close, I suppose. But Avengers sure didn't have guns that shot barrages of laser swords at flying jetskis.

Look up Brain Blessed appearing on QI (Ice, series I but get the XL version because goes for longer) and his best of from Have I Got News For You.

He's always funny and amazing to watch.

He was the best part of the 80's Flash Gordon film which had some terrible acting but him being so over the top made it beyond awesome. :D
