James was probably drunk, Kirk was testing his wah wah, and Rob was pretending he was still a homeboy. That only leaves Lars who loves to hear his name so much that his ears prick up when it happens within 1000 miles of him.

Yeah! The big standout moment and he didn't even try. I don't know how they deal with him.

There was one of those where Hetfield sounded mostly good. But the guitar tone and Lars ruined it. I have to say that 99% of the ones I've seen were not surprisingly disappointing.

Megadeth Arizona was cool. Smh. Sigh. It seems like the more people worry about their legacy the more they actually ruin it.

I just looked at the Megadeth website for the Cyber Army. Really seems like Megadeth is following the Kiss route of putting their name on everything. Digital membership runs $19.99 a year and premium access is $69.99 annually. Membership renews automatically so you never have to worry about forgetting to reup on your dues. I wonder how active the community/forum is.

I haven't seen too many newer Metallica live shows but the ones I've seen aren't terrible, but they aren't they band they used to, or could have been. There always seems to be at least one let down, be it sound, playing, singing, they never all seem to gel and make a great show.

Megadeth Arizona was one of the originals. If not the first full blown music site and forum it was definitely the first metal site and forum. Many other sites copied the idea and it didn't work but MA did work. I remember a few years ago when Dave and Megadeth started reposting images of the MA logo and talking about the site I hoped it was coming back, but of course it wasn't.

Following KISS really doesn't surprise me, they are proof marketing works. I know Dave probably wouldn't like the comparison of copying someone else, he likes to be the trendsetter, but he really has copied Gene and Paul and I can only see him using their influence more as things progress.

Fun fact for the kiddies playing along at home, (or not). I was a signed up member of the KISS Army in the mid 90's, not because I wanted to be, although I did see them play a few times, but because I was working with the head of the Australian KISS Army and as a freelancer I saw the yearly fee as a small price to pay for their members to give me work. Although not fault of KISS I gave up my membership and the work I did the day the guy I knew was arrested for child porn on his work computer.

Lol. Geez. That $19.99 is probably just the basic forum too. So nice of them to renew automatically in case you forget!

To me if a band is still making new music it's ok to sell (almost) anything. But if a band (like KISS) is really just a merch machine and just playing to make loads of cash it's cringey. Unless that band is just to old to play or come up with new music. Which KISS is not.

Yeah that is pretty good. I don't know if I'd say best in decades. Maybe if you cut out the Dukes era. But that's me lol.

I think Lunatic, Liar, Lord might be my overall favorite track. At least right now.

What does this mean? (With such ferocious tracks as “Lunatic-Liar-Lord,” “Clickbait,” and the title track, the album is certain to turn heads, especially of those who no longer consider them one of American Thrash Metal’s fabled four, which arguably include Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax.)

Edit: Good overall. But there are some very stupid questions.

And the reason you forgot was because you haven't been back since the day you logged in and paid the membership fee :)

KISS can go on foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! The strange thing is KISS has always been about marketing, long before Gene said they weren't going to make any more records they marketed everything, at one stage they held more official marketing licences for their name than any other company in the world. KISS will only ever be a greatest hits band now, however KISS toilet seats, KISS toilet paper, that's pretty cringy whether they are making albums or not, and people let them know it. I don't think heavier bands shouldn't try the same thing, or maybe similar things, I don't even think cringey should be left to KISS, but I do think bands like Megadeth and Anthrax are focusing more on marketing than actually making music and that does suck.

Yeah it was pretty stupid. It's kind of a loaded question. You won't be able to answer it right for some people no matter what. And by the way, if you're going to interview someone, maybe watch their one and only pod cast. He already gave his opinion on it.

It is a loaded question and if he answered it wrong it would start a bullshit stream of crap like they keep printing about Halford and Ripper no listening to each other. That shit should have died years ago but it's still coming up.

Watching this at the moment. It's pretty good (so far). Ziltoid and his quest to Earth to find coffee is a great story and Devy pulls it off on stage well, especially since he only met the guys playing 2 days before the gig.
Still getting through the list but there is even some SYL to come.

It's a really lazy way of doing things. This kind of thing used to be strictly tabloid rag territory. Sadly it just seems to be the way things are done now and most people don't seem to even question it because it's normal to them.
