    I hope it's not the case but we'll see. I love their first two records (the other three are good as well), and I got to see them live with Testament no less. I thought they had some pretty insightful lyrics as well too.

    It's Forbidden's fault they never caught on. Stuff like this is what held them back from reaching Testament/Overkill/Exodus status. They can't just stop because the singer decides he doesn't feel like performing anymore.

    So, I've been watching the videos documenting DEFIANCE performances just before and after changing name to INNER THRESHOLD:

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jJ1-Usxtfg&list=UUqMhL5EbhKncCfCQY-Kn-8A"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jJ1-Usxtfg&list=UUqMhL5EbhKncCfCQY-Kn-8A[/ame]

    And the presence of Dave White of HEATHEN made me wonder what's going on in their camp. Has anyone heard about their plans? Hopefully with Gary in Slayer Exodus will slow down and allow Lee to write a new Heathen record for us all to enjoy.

    I've also no clue what LAAZ ROCKIT are up to. The MORDRED reunion will probably never result in an album. On the good site, I'm hearing the DEATH ANGEL guys are busy writing new stuff, which certainly be killer.

    As for DEFIANCE, I'm pretty sure there will be no more reunions anymore. Anyway, say what you will, Beyond Recognition is one of my favourite Thrash albums ever - awesome guitarists, outstanding drummer and a vocalist that was brilliant just for that one album he seemed to find his style, but then ruined his voice doing the generic mallcore shouts in Skinlab. Jim Adams seems to be experimenting with some weird looking guitars these days. He looks sad in those videos. I hope he's ok and only disillusioned with the music business. It's crazy no big metal band has recruited him yet. I sure hope to hear him thrash again. I don't know if that Severed Fifth band of his is still going or not:

    I think they are. The tour starts late March. I wonder if Gary will be with them or it will be Lee and Rick on guitars.

    Well if Slayer isn't touring he will be. I was kind of hoping he would help Kerry out on the next Slayer album. It would be interesting to hear that band with a different guitarist, no disrespect to Hanneman of course.

    Has anyone heard what label Megadeth signed to? I've heard Mustaine say in a couple different interviews that they signed with another label already but no word of yet as to who it is.

    I was kind of looking forward to Gary writing for them as well. I haven't heard anything about Megadeths new label but the clips I've heard sound cool.

    XENTRIX have reunited once again to support Evile and Kreator in the UK. The line up remains unknown. I hope that this time they'll record a new album and finally experience some commercial success.

    I think you should check them out one day, you'd probably like some of it. Good old British Thrash. The first album's rather straightforward, but it worked fine. The second is said to be their highlight and has some more complex song structures (still nothing progressive about it). The rest are more laid back, experimental stuff. Here's one song off the 2nd album for you:

    .

    BTW, Charly from Paradox has undergone open heart surgery and is currently recovering. Let's hope all the bad luck this guy's had over the years is now gone and he can concentrate on promoting his music.

    Having only heard thi song, there is a fair amount of Metallica influence. I ain't saying it's bad, just what my ears picked up.

    I hear you both and there's no denying to these influences. They've also toured with Testament and you can hear that too. Here are some more songs for you:
