I have the 1.0, IIRC the big improvement is that at least the newer model has an ON/OFF knob :D

The whole discography of Hypocrisy/Pain, and old albums by Rammstein, are made with the SansAmp only or mixed with "actual amps"

What cab did you use with the JVM? I'm liking the Marshall tone, too.

That sounds amazing. Does the PSA sound different than the Bass Driver? I've got a bass driver and I can't say I've ever gotten close to that...

Yeah the PSA is a great workhorse on bass. I think the best examples I have of are these clips:

I love all the Sansamp stuff too. BDDI has more of a saturation sort of distortion and can't get you the grind of the PSA-1. It'll add more clank and presence and can sound terribly close to a SVT stack. Had a band coming last year with a big SVT rig and after micing it up and a couple of hours of work getting the Bass Sound right I just thought to myself that I could have gotten the almost same result with the BDDI in like 15 minutes. At least in the mix the differences would have been negligable. Very similiar!
I had a PSA1 years ago but sold it since I've got the BDDI, the classic Sansamp Pedal (cool for Pain style guitars with a Post EQ and Bass in parallel as well) and finally I think the Plug In in Pro Tools is one great example of hardware modeling done right. It's very close to the hardware.

Have someone compared bddi against MXR m80? I see that fearcomplexmusic like m80 a lot and it would be closer for my budget at the moment.
