yup that's the song...i just can't stand Dani Filth though...period i tried listening to the song mannequin off of i think nymphetamine and then i turned it off when he said in a girly whisper "flesh, dripping" i hate his vocals

Boring and pretentious. Music's fine for the most part, but Dani's vocals are like a thorn in my side. *haha*
I think Dani's vocals sound their best on Principal... although they are quite harsh, as is the production in general, I think it really creates a great atmosphere.
Lately a local radio station has been playing 'Cemetery and Sundown' of the new COF album and I can't believe how much I like it..I've never liked COF before but does anyone else think that it's a great song? I mean I'm not saying it's the pinnacle of all metal but is it not catchy as hell?
There has been alot of interesting thoughts on this subject. Though I can't claim them to be a "favorite" of mine,I find them sorta entertaining. I do like Nymphetamine better at the moment when heard back to back. To reply to Danallica,even though I'm not prejudice against too much or too many bands, COF sure is metal. Alot more metal than say Metallica after the Black Album period. (Not dissin' on Metallica but just sayin')
Eh, I'm iffy about this one. I heard 4 songs from it, and 2 are pretty good, but the other one, and "Temptation" just totaly blow.

i'm a COF fan and as such i really enjoy this album after hearing it this morning. To say that this album isnt metal is stupid. my only complaint would be the lack keyboards on the album which has always played a key role in the bands sound. their are definite holes in songs where the keys would have fit in nicely if of course martin was still in the band. i find the lyrics and their stylistic delivery to be top notch as usual and im probably one of the few people who like dani's vocals(for the most part anyways) on the GMD board. he did some experimenting in the layering this time out and in the end i feel this may be his best effort along with the cruelty and the beast album. plenty of hooks on this album imo and while not completely extreme its not really all that poppy either. just catchy. i was a little suprised with the guitars at times and the way they were and weren t used. i could never completely understand all the hate for this band but i do understand that most of the magic comes from what they can do in the studio and it doesnt always transfer over to live performances.
I'm listening to some of the new album liking the guitars and music, but Dani is just weird abnoxious and akward like usual. oh well. If CoF had regular raspy vocals I would probably have some of their albums.
I personally like most of CoF's music, mostly Cruelty, Damnation is also fine with me.. Even Nymphetamine is listenable.. But not this. This is the most boring CD they've ever created. It's horrible. And it's not a matter of vocals. It's just the songs. Dani can make some cool inhuman noises and roars, but he can never break the boredom of this record.
I don't like Dani's singing... its just nasty and makes the music nearly unlistenable. If they had a different vocalist they could do well, and they really should stop doing cover songs, they always suck.
Yeah Cradle of Filth! I'm a huge Cradle of Filth fan and i'v heard three songs from them. Dirge Inferno was fuckin boring! Dani's vocals are as awsome as ever. He impressed me with some new things he can do with them. The guitars, drums, and bass were pretty good. There's nothing wrong with it and the song was structured well but there wasn't anything special about it. They need much more keyboards/back up vocals or maybe a solo. Then i heeard Temptations and it pissed me off! That song is pure shit! It's like a freakin pop song! Nothing is organized and that chick's vocals are horrible! I never thought i'd say a cradle song sux!. Then i heard Byronic Man which was really good. It was right in the middle of Dirge Inferno and Temptations. It has a good melody , but the end where Ville Valo sings was shit. Sounded horrible. It seems like the album was vvery experimental cuz of a lot of clean vocals. They want to do something that can push them to the limit and this is the limit. Anything more, and they won't even be metal anymore.
When you think about it why not just call the album pornography and have 2 lesbians(not real ones, real ones are not hot) doing each other in chapel covered in baby lamb blood. You think cradle of filth would have an album like this already. People could wear a shirt that says 'lesbians in blood' .Maybe anti-gays would target cradle of filth shows and metal heads would actually be happy a metal band was shut down for not being christian like.
