Start with some newer thrash such as Toxic Holocaust and than move your way back. That is what I did.

Not reading any of this thread, I'm going to assume this is a noob thread, so here is a brief guide to what I like about Thrash (as I am, indeed, an authority on Thrash).

    Mekong Delta - Mekong Delta
Sodom - In The Sign Of Evil
    Destruction - Infernal Overkill
    Kreator - Pleasure To Kill
    Living Death - Metal Revolution
Flotsam And Jetsam - Doomsday For The Deceiver
    Sarcofago - INRI
    Sepultura - Schizophrenia
    Mutilator - Immortal Force
    Vulcano - Blood Vengeance
    Holocausto - Campo De Exterminio

    Kat - 666

    I'll continue this maybe tomorrow.

Good list, but I would replace Schizophrenia with Beneath the Remains because I like it more

If you liked The Dark, try the self titled one. Faster, more hectic.

Control Denied is considered thrash? I always thought it was a progressive metal album

Also, there's a dude I know who start a thrash blog not too long ago. I bet you can find a lot of new bands on it, especially more obscure stuff. Its quite new so there's not too many entry yet but it shouldn't be too long before there is a shitload of stuff on their since he does reviews for other metal websites:

I second this suggestion. Mekong Delta has some of the most killer thrash riffs.

    Also check out...

    Xentrix
    Atrophy
    Deathrow

I'm sure you have some Overkill, but make sure you have their album "Horrorscope". It should definitely be one of the thrash benchmark records.

Apart from especially seconding the recommendations of Hexenhaus (try to get "A Tribute To Insanity", if you can find it anywhere), Coroner and Mekong Delta, I'll just add:

    Détente - "Recognize No Authority"
    Znowhite - "Act Of God"
    Voivod - "Killing Technology"

np: Znowhite - "To The Last Breath"
