What do you guys consider to be the events that hold the shitcake within metal. The "total fuck up" may refer to godawful relases (not deliberate shit albums, but bands that were trying to create something decent but failed horribly), or a "fuck up" may refer also to some particular change of bands line-up which had disastrous effects. You might also mention some scandals within the metal scene. So, in general, post total "fuck ups" which consider: - albums that hold the grand shitcake in metal. - failed line-up changes. - shameful events in metal.
Bathory - basically everything between Hammerheart and Nordland I, but in particular Blood on Ice, because he felt it was so good he went back and dug up abandoned recordings and fixed it all up and recorded the rest and released it and it's such utter fucking shite.
Reinkaos is pretty fucking awesome. Not really sure why it was released under the Dissection name, though.
No, because Megadeth stopped being relevant with Rust in Peace; and that album isn't really good either. I submit Morbid Angel- Domination
The first three Morbid Angel albums are fukking majestic epics dealing with the grandest of matters whereas Domination feels like a bunch of teenagers pissed at their parents trying to do the same.
that shit a few years ago with Iron Maiden and Sharon Osbourne/Ozzfest edit: Ozzfest in general I suppose
Jethro Tull winning the Grammy for best hard rock/metal album. It wasn't so much that the album wasn't metal, for me; it was that it was a fucking shitty record. God, fuck, I cannot even begin to describe the atrocity that is that album. And I love Jethro Tull.
Don't be a faggot, Guy. Give CTE some credit at least. My choices: In Flames - Lunar Strain DT - The Gallery Anything Bloodbath has released DevilDriver - Pray for Villains (TLKW was so good then WHAT THE FUCK?!) Judas Priest - Painkiller Megadeth - United Abominations. This album proves that the Drovers don't belong in anything related to thrash metal. Slayer - Divine Intervention
