I've got about 30gb I need to send. Are there any cheap solutions other then burning a few DVDs?
You could get a "pro plan" from copy.com, that'd be 10 $ a month: https://www.copy.com/price
Or you could create 2 free accounts and split the files. Although that would come over a bit shabby...
This or pro Dropbox account?
+1 for pro Dropbox.
Dropbox gives you less storage for the price iirc, but I think it'd still be sufficient
Dropbox pro is 100 GB for $10/mo.
Or you can get a 32GB USB flash memory and mail it over (that would be my choice as my Internet connection would take forever to upload just 1GB)
Thanks guys. Problem solved
Nobody uses FTPs anymore ?
It's usually against the TOS of the cheaper hosting plans. You might get a warning or they might just shut down your website.
I don't have any experience transferring files with Google drive because I've been using Dropbox forever, but apparently you can get a Terabyte of storage on Google Drive for 10 bucks a month. 100GB for $1.99.
Holy shit. Thanks for the tip. That's insane.
Set it up between the 2 PCs and that's it, no hosting anywhere, freedom.
That works? Cool idea actually
