Wow, tough...here's a flexible list in no order

    Angra - Temple Of Shadows
Iced Earth - Night Of The Stormrider
    Masterplan - Aeronautics
    Symphony X - The Odyssey
    Pyramaze - Melancholy Beast
Avantasia - The Metal Opera Pt. I

(two albums yes, but they were released together so :p)
    Kamelot - The Black Halo
Serenity - Words Untold & Dreams Unlived
(tough call between this and Seventh Wonder - Waiting In The Wings)

Hmz, all of these are within the last 10 years, with the exception of Night Of The Stormrider...interesting, maybe it signifies a new golden age of metal :D

Tough call, I guess for now it would be...

    1. Pyramaze - LOTBC (the kings of power metal sonically improve)

    2. Van Halen - Van Halen 1 (consider them hard rock, but this one has some metal tones to it)

    3. Hibria - Defying The Rules (classic style metal with the right amount of prog & steriods added to it)

    4. Communic - Waves Of Visual Decay (the most diverse metal I've heard done by 3-guys...NFW)

    5. Pyramaze - MB (kings of power metal)

    6. Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime (conceptual metal masterpiece)

    7. Tad Morose - Modus Vivendi (thier sweat smells like metal & of course there is Urban-fuckin-Breed)

    8. Iron Maiden - Somewhere In Time (Adrian Smith shines here...they should let him shine more often)

    9. Metallica - Black Album (sellouts here??? nope, this cd is by far thier best)

    10. Iron Maiden - Piece Of Mind (my intro to metal & officially made me a life-long metal head, thank you Maiden)

hon. ment. Angtoria - God Has A Plan For Us (the "plan" is not a good one...this chick has an amazing voice and they mix my fave genres, metal & classical)

...don't ask me, for some reason I think of these colors when I think of these bands...its a vibe / mood thing.

    That's a hard choice:

    1. PYRAMAZE - Legend Of The Bone Carver (Muz, I totally agree)
    2. ICED EARTH - Days Of Purgatory (actually not a real album, but the old songs with Matt's voice are the best)
    3. PYRAMAZE - Melancholy Beast
    4. METALLICA - Master Of Puppets (Cliff R.I.P.)
    5. MORGANA LEFAY - The Secret Doctrine
    6. RUSH - Moving Pictures (Geddy is the ultimative bass player)
    7. IN FLAMES - Clayman
    8. MERCYFUL FATE - Don't Break The Oath
    9. SAVATAGE - Edge Of Thorns (the only album with Criss & Zak!)
    10. PANTERA - Vulgar Display Of Power (though I hate the cover)

I've got to mention IMMORTAL, that will soon be my no. 1! Thanks for that masterpiece Pyramaze! :worship:

And I haven't got a Communic album yet, but the songs on myspace are really amazing, so there might be another change soon.

Thanks Olddoggie for starting this thread! I'm now going to check out all the stuff I don't know yet... and as everyone is talking about Urban breed right now, I thought I could start with Tad Morose. I already listened to the short bloodbound-samples that BurtOfferings posted, but didn't listen close enough. As soon as I heard "Anubis" of Modus Vivendi, wow, I was infected with the Urban-virus! Up to now I wanted to hear Matt or a completely unknown vocalist on the next album, but now I guess Urban would perfectly fit as well. He's got a great range and emotion in his voice, really great! :headbang:

And as Pyramaze make a great singer shine even more - in my opinion Lance and Matt did their best jobs ever with Pyramaze - I guess it would be very interesting to hear Urban!
