Hej! Ursäkta mig om min svenska är inte bra. Det är inte mitt modersmål. Kan jag ställa en fråga? Denna fråga är av stor betydelse för mig som lärer sig språket. Jag undrar, varför Vintersorg uttalar 'jord', 'nord' och några andra ord liksom på norska (utan 'd'). Är det Norrlands dialekt? Kan någon svensk eller Vintersorg själv förklara det för mig?

Hehe, I tried to learn Swedish, listening to Vintersorg. And I couldn't understand why, fy fan, I could understand Vintersorg, but i couldn't understand other Swedes.
I seemed that every Swede had his own specific way of pronunciation. Now i see...

That is the same thing as asking frenchmen why they doesn't pronounce the "t" in a word like "un enfant" but they do it when it's plural, "des enfants". In Norway you say "jor" and "nor" in singleform, but you say "den jorden" and "I Norden" with the "d" if you see what I mean...therefore it is written with a "d". You see this in many other languages aswell.

I know that that "nord" must be pronounced without "d" in Norwegian. But Vintersorg is Swede. And in Swedish "nord" is pronounced with a "d" sound. So Vintersorg's pronunciation is not like that of other Swedes.

I've never heard mr V. pronounce "Nord" without the "d". Not even when he's drunk.

Maybe it was I who was drunk listening Vintersorg's songs... But I have listened them once more and all the same I've heard no "d" sounds both in "nord" or "jord".
    For example here
    Ödemarkens son, från majestätiska nord
Ödemarkens son, svor en ed till sin fosterjord

But of course you know better.

Eh, I think I hear the D fairly clear on those songs. You're anyway supposed to pronounce it. I do it, at least, and I'm from the same town as Vintersorg :) You should try speaking to a Skåning. Good luck understanding them!

I've heard Skåne's dialect. It is funny how they pronounce "r".
