Chris B from Nevermore went to join Megadeth. So um....hey Ron. Whatchya doin these days?
haha, that'd be actually a pretty cool gig for u Ron, you'd be able to take it right up to Loomis in a guitar duel methinks...
I'd be ashamed of Ron if he joined that crappy of a band. They are WAAAY below him.
Why are they crappy? Because they don't have tempo changes and odd time signatures?
Look on Ron's MySpace page. Loomis is one of his top friends.
Song writing and style-wise, Loomis/Jarzombek would be a killer combo.
I don't think they're half-bad either: Jeff and Warrel know how to write quality power-metal (or whatever you want to call it) and the proficiency on their respective instruments is obvious. I'll take them over pseudo-progressive boredom like SymphonyX or DT (no offense, anyone...) any day. Warrel's voice is incredible too.
That being said, though, I'm not sure Nevermore could provide the artistic outlet for Ron that I get the impression he must crave - not to mention the distance between SA (and all of Ron's other work) and Seattle... But it would be interesting to me, and I know Jeff and Warrel greatly respect WT/Ink and Ron's other work - Warrel might even still be interested in doing vocals for Mathematics, which would be interesting (I think he could pull it off).
no offense taken...
That would be amazing.
Playing alongside Jeff Loomis would be AOK with me!
I really hope someone from Nevermore reads that, I don't think they'd find someone better to fill the gap...
you do know Chris B. was only a tour guitarist dont you?
Yeah, but I don't think they'd object to having Ron in the studio either.
In fact, I'm sure had Chris not moved to Megadeth, he probably would've contributed in the studio as well, so why not Ron? And even if only as a touring guitarist, it'd still be great exposure for Ron, and probably great fun...
MONEY ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY AND POP SONGS WITH A METAL MIX...
I'm filling in until they get someone that can be permanent.
And I'm helping them in the studio
We got some great stuff going on guys! Shmu is great in the studio, and me & jeff are getting a long real good...
Yeah Liverslapper is trying to teach Jeff some new riffs and it's having a hard time because Jeff is drunk all the time and can't learn them
You bought the beer!
ok tomorrow in the studio, no beer, jeff needs to learn my riffs for the new cd.
I think they'd go well together actually. It'd change Nevermore's sound somewhat, but I think it would change for the better. Although this is assuming it happens, which is doubtful.
Van is going to pick up a guitar, Warrel is going to play drums and Jim is going to pull a Geddy Lee!
