    technically, he practiced for 3 years before writing the songs on Onset of Putrefaction. the recording came much later since he had problems with the band members and their musicianship abilities...

    Freak Kitchen songs. Man, they are pretty screwed up, at least the solo parts. And not too easy to learn by ear, but the challenge is the coolest part, right?

    I'm currently learning how to get my guitar off the floor. Its hard because when I pick it up the pick isnt big enough to fit under it.

    You're right, i got it wrong, he was 22 when he recorded the first album, so he had been playing for 7 years by then.

    I was watching a Necrophagist DVD last night and it kinda motivated me to start practising sweep picking again. I might try and push Stabwound from 220 to 240bpm.

    Man, that stuff is insane.
