  1. Just a heads up... In the next week or two we will be making some major upgrades to the site to bring the software and server fully up to date. While the upgrade happens the site will be offline for the day. There will be some quirkiness after the upgrade, but we'll get it all sorted out.

From the discussion on the what I like thread.

I am currently reading the The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins. Got this after watching the program The Root of all Evil on SBS or ABC. Very interesting.

I'm still trying to get through Anthony Kiedis' autobiography. For those of you who aren't aware, he is the lead singer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and lead quite an interesting life. So far I'd recommend it to any Chili Peppers fan.

The GOd Delusion is awesome. Right now I am reading Ruling Australia, a collection of essays about neo-liberalism and how the rich rule the country, and Bean's Gallipoli, the official Gallipoli campaign correspondent's diary.

Reading The Secret Life of Germs, forget who by, but it's a really interesting read. Mainly about how they become transfered between people and well, the lives of germs! Haha.

Another book much in the same vein would be Christopher Hitchen's, "God is not great."

Currently I'm reading Giordano Bruno's "The Expulsion of the triumphant beast" and also (noticed someone else was reading it) H.P Lovecraft's "Call of Cthulhu and other wierd stories."

Dawkins was wrong, God is real, his name is Howard Lovecraft :p. Totally awesome stories. Check out Clark Ashton Smith and Robert E Howard when you're done with him, the 3 of them were all good friends, wrote for the same magazine and all influenced each others' developing styles.

That's Lovecraft from "The Nameless City". You should be ashamed of yourself, not knowing that.
