No, actually you should be kissing Matt Heafy's ass because he introduced you to good music. Besides, it's not like you hate touching kissing ass or anything so you'd probably enjoy it.

Matt Heafy didn't introduce me to any bands, and I assume that the majority of people here have the same experience.

    Now you've got it.

It's half the fact that I find your whining about in-crowd to be amusing so I feed into it. It's half that tastes change. I don't find them super offensive, but I don't find them overly decent anymore either. Why is it difficult to grasp that some people just don't like overproduced or core-tinged shit? Why link it to some erroneous concept of in-crowd-dom?

I mean, I could've said Devildriver and then you wouldn't have had a point to make against me, cause I can't recall ever liking them. But nu-in-crowd queen Omni made that point for me.

See, the funny part about all this is that my first post was an experiment to see who would get butthurt that I said that shit and you took the bait like I suspected you would because you can't help yourself. What makes the concept of 'incrowddom' erroneous exactly? Is it because it isn't well defined? Does that mean the concept doesn't exist because there is no clear and concise definition of it?

If you want to spend the next 10 pages arguing about it, we can. I don't have a life, dude. I'm totally open to waste time arguing over this shit if you are.

As much as people might not expect this opinion from me, what I would see as a disgrace to metal is a lack of experimental bands pushing the boundaries of the genre.

"Took the bait". Whatever you say. I'll let you believe it. I'll allow it. *pats head*

And "in-crowd" doesn't exist because it's basically a concept birthed from butthurt. There's no factual basis to it; and the only people that give it any stock and not mock it, are HBB, and the roughly two or three of you who actually still enjoy bands like KSE, Devildriver, and Trivium.

There is more setting this fictional "in-crowd" apart from one another, tastes-wise, than there is setting the small handful of you guys apart.

In short, you fell for lies. Your brain took the bait, and you lose for it.

    Inb4 "b-b-but muh Manilla Road/The Chasm".

You're just an in-crowd prospect though. You'll only get your patch when you embrace it.

The in-crowd is very real, and indeed after analysis it can, unequivocally, be seen to be responsible for many disgraces to metal. The truth always outs. 90 percent of the incrowd are sheep. People with strong character form their own opinions and are not swayed by ridicule from people who have no ideas of their own making. Just saying.

This. All of this. And do it without pulling a Mr.Bungle type nonsense. Not many bands these days do this.

Abbath is too good, man. Immortal is supreme, but I love what he's doing under his own name.

Emperor is poop covered in glitter.

Semi-related: Metal fans who believe black metal is the pinnacle of art in music form and that all other genres are inferior

    Another one I think:

People who don't hit the "Random Band" button endlessly on Metallum to find bands.

Omni might agree with this one

Anyone who dislikes Queen. I've never met a metalhead who disliked Queen.

You'll probably encounter some of the ones that visit this site now that you've made that post. That's basically a guarantee.

Queen will always be my favorite band.

Burzum or Deathspell Omega are the correct answers.

Lol, no. They have one great album.
