Good ones this year (no internal order):

    Tenacious D - S/T
(What's not to like about two short, overweight guys with steel string acoustic singing perfect harmonies?)
    Freak Kitchen - Move
(No one can make a 5/4 groove like Mattias "IA" Eklundh)
Dream Theater - Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence
(The 42 min title track actually kicks ass)
Megadeth - Killing Is My Business (Deluxe 2002 Version)
(Why the HELL aren't all remasters/remixes like this??)
    Opeth - Deliverance
    (Great follow-up for 'Blackwater Park')
    Meshuggah - Nothing
(Great to hear them slow (and tune) down again)

I've bought more albums than that, but they either weren't good enough or just re-releases... Or they just weren't released this year.

    Anticipated upcoming albums:

Office of Strategic Influence - S/T
    Gordian Knot - Emergent
    Metallica - TBA
    Evergrey - Recreation Day
Metallica - Live Shit: Binge & Purge! DVD version
    Aghora - TBA
    Opeth - Damnation
    Annihilator - Double Live Annihilation

    That's all, y'all...

Greetings fellow Metalheads!! Here some of my personal favorites of 2002, in no particular order.

-Symphony X "The Odessey" (of course!)
-Blind Guardian "A Night at the Opera" (again, of course!)
-Dream Evil "Dragonslayer" (wonderfully addicting songs, the lyrics aren't the most original tho)
-Nightwish "Century Child" (I love male vox they added in this disc)
-Lacuna Coil "Comalies" (oh yeah, it's another hit!!)

Thats about all i can think of for 2002. Im sure most, if not all of you, have heard most of these cds. It doesnt seem to me that Dream Evil is very popular tho, so if you haven't heard them yet, check em out! Really cool catchy songs, and they are coming out with a new cd this year (I think). Anyway, rock on!!
