Honestly, I don't think it's half bad, so if that's their worst, they must be a pretty solid band. Nice bright flute melodies and crunchy guitar. It just doesn't have the steam to be over an hour long without repeating itself.
check out keyholder and mindrevolutions
Jonas Reingold is the man.
I'm actually disappointed to say that I could never really get into them. However, End of the Rope off of Keyholder is, oddly enough, one of my favorite "prog" songs.
I dig the Foo
End of the Rope is clearly the best Kaipa song. ftw man
Where would you classify Coheed & Cambria? They are one of my favorites. They have been called emo but their CD Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star lV, Vol.1 was voted one of the top 100 guitar albums of all time in Guitar World Magazine. It fits in the prog rock genre. I think Claudio Sanchez is underrated.
I don't give a shit about who rated what in whatever magazine/website/etc.
But I do like that album. I wouldn't call them prog though.
I'm reeaally getting into Pineapple Thief.
I'ma addin' them to my top 5 Prog Rockers!
In no specific order:
