    King Crimson is the latest band I got into as well. I got into Yes some time ago and am still to get into Gentle Giant. ;)

    Opeth for me too, at least the latest that I've REALLY gotten into, most stuff I hear is like, ehh.. it's rare I come across a band that floors me :OMG: .. but they did.

    Been getting into techinical death metal lately, like Decapitated, Suffocation, and Necrophagist. Ohh.. and Luciferion which is a really awesome blend of technical death and black metal.

    Alchemist is awesome...their latest album often sounds like a collision between thrash and space rock, lots of great reverberating guitar lines and killer drum work...among those already mentioned here who have also delivered awesome albums this year are Dead Soul Tribe, Extol, and Ephel Duath.
