How about some Wolves In The Throne Room?
Who the fuck is that?
They are, or they refer to themselves, as a black metal band here in Washington state. They just released an album on Vendlus records, and they have a MySpace where you can check out some of their stuff. Just interesting guys with an interesting philosophy on music and play some cool shit. They had a feature on them for a while on the front page of the Ultimate Metal site, the homepage I guess. Don't know if it's still there or if they archive those articles. Definitely give them a listen though.
I must say that Wolves In The Throne room kick some serious ass.
Anybody know this band called Saviour, I think they are out of Northern California? I saw them open for the Sword and they are very good. Play some of them if you can.
Too many bong hits gave me the idea...how about a stoner rock episode. Well... not just Bongzilla, Electric Wizard-ish shit but an entire episode of songs that are really meant to be listened to whilst zooted out of one's skull.
rumplestiltskin grinder, have you guys ever played them? awesome thrash band on relapse
Yeah we played them awhile back.
play them again!!! or dont, your call
It would make me feel happy if you could play "Creeping Death" by Metallica. That song always get the blood pumping for me.
Good song, but they need not our help.
Oh all right, then play something from the new Sodom.
how about some old school suicidal tendancies from their self titled cd
hmm, some old school ST would do me just fine. I have plans to do a career spanning episode on Suicidal Tendencies sometime in the future, since they changed style on almost every record.
I'll remember my bandana, wife beater and knee high socks for that one.
Then you will definitely look the part! And you need to incessantly babble about politics on stage. oh wait....
How about something from the new Voivod? That CD is amazing.
We've done that a few times. Great cd!
They are working on a whole bunch of re-issues right now, as wella s the dvd for the power trio years. I am real excited about that one.
I just read that X-stream off the new voivod album is going to be featured in guitar hero 2.. Quite a fitting tribute I think...
