Discuss those enigmatic groups who released a classic album and disappeared off the radar.

    Scald?
    Lykathea Aflame?
    Silencer?

Nattramn went to a mental ward, ended up recording as Diagnose: Lebensgefahr/

Lykathea Aflame was going to change name to Lykathe and release shit but idk what happened.

    Not sure about Scald :|

The Will of the Gods is Great Power is such an awesome album. I didn't know he died, that's too bad.

Silencer shouldn't release another album, imo.

No-one knows them, but this is one the best BM albums of the last decade. Never heard from in the 8 years since.

Maybe he just needs more exercise, he had a pretty impressive beer gut.

Vordven man. "Woodland Passage" was nowhere near as good as "Towards the Frozen Stream," but maybe they could have redeemed themselves with a third. sigh.

I didn't mean that his one and only album was terrible. I said he should releasing another album, because with that album he has done his job in the genre.

Lykathea Aflame; indeed turned into Lykathe, supposed 4th album is being made... wouldn't hold any breathe.
Silencer; Leere joined Shining, that's about it. I don't really believe shit about the whole mental ward crap.

There was some more news from Lykathe (well Tomas Corn more specifically) a few months ago, on the Derek Roddy forum. He said they have the basis of an album's worth of songs completed and are actually working on it now or something. Most likely to just be bullshit again, but it seemed more "hopeful" than all the other vague stuff from the past few years.

Last news from them were 25.11.09, when they "returned to preparation of the new album".

That's pretty recent in Lykathea Aflame terms >__<

I definitely remember a post saying they had an outline for the songs written. Having said that, I'm so delusional when it comes to a new Lykathea Aflame album that they could post one line on an obscure forum every 5 years saying "we are working slowly on the album" and I'd still believe it and eagerly wait for it

Speaking of Wintersun and Lykathea, does anyone know what's going on with the new Atheist album? Or is it going to be released when Wintersun and Lykathea releases their albums? I can't wait to hear these 3 albums while playing Duke Nukem Forever.
