I've only been listening to metal for 28 years so forgive me for only just starting to listen to Kreator and Death Angel last week (not coincidentally because of the tour announcement). VERY annoyed it took me so long, but I've never really been into thrash outside of the big 4.
The new Iced Earth has failed to impress me yet, I should of been more excited about the previous albums release, not this one
Little River Band. Knew all the hits but started getting into some of their earlier albums. Holy shit. Talk about tight harmonies and studio magic. Amazing band
The latest GWAR album Battle Maximus is rocking my socks a fair bit. One of their best efforts in ages, silly but with a strong narrative and epic songs.
Some amazing thrash right there. Pissed I will miss their tour, what a strong double bill. Enemy of God is probably my favourite modern thrash album, and Death Angel's first couple since their reunion are excellent.
Listening to Bruce https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vq_jugoSV60 Making Hank Drum from a gas tank (without blowing myself up)
still need to get my hands on a copy. Doubtful JB down here will get it, so will have to pester the boys directly.
Yeah, I walked around the city looking for it. Even went to to the specialty metal shop and he told me he doesn't get new releases because no-one wants to buy them. I just kinda looked at him and left. So yeah, I ordered it on line and it turned up in a couple of days. It's also on Spotify.
new VP is excellent. Didnt even know they had done a new album until it was released. I have missed them!!
