    Hey,

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hf7e0eRu5Jg

Stuff like this is there any collective term for it? I want to learn how to play that medieval sounding stuff. Metalheads seem to have a ear for it. If I can get a term for it maybe I can look up specifik lessons of it.

If i had to label it i'd say folk. Ensiferum does a lot of folk-style acoustic guitar bits.

It's just 'classical guitar', though most of them are probably using normal acoustic guitars and not Classical/Spanish guitars.

There's a lot of classical guitar tabs here - http://www.classtab.org/

I like sight reading and improvising around them sometimes.

I wouldn't call the music 'medieval' though. Medieval period ended around the start of the 15th century, and especially with regards to metal bands doing this sort of thing, I think a lot of the inspiration comes from the cliché medieval harp and flute sorta stuff you'd find in older fantasy/'historic' films or video games.

The first few minutes (all I listened to) are heavily influenced by baroque music.
