I am not a big fan of covers but.....

-Knockin' On Heaven's Door by Guns N' Roses

-Out on the Tiles by Megadeth (it is nothing special but I like it)

-Dream On by Dio and Malmsteen

and two songs from my country:

-'Plan B' by Catupecu Machu (original from a pop band called Massacre, also because that was the last good thing Catupecu Machu did)

-'Route 66' in spanish version by Pappo (a guitar legend from Argentina, this particular cover is sort of a classic here)

Generally i'm not a big fan of cover songs. I think it's kind of a waste of time, why not focus your attention on creating original music? Unfortunately every band kind of has to do at least one cover in their career, but generally I don't really like covers. I read an article recently that Halestorm is putting out a SECOND covers EP. I hate that band quite a bit, but I still think it's a ridiculous waste of time to put out TWO covers EPs when you only have two albums of original material. Luckily most bands I enjoy don't waste their time with cover albums/EPs, but if they did i'd skip them.

That said, I love Elvenking's cover of Heaven Is A Place on Earth because EK is my favorite band and before Era their stuff was amazing. Alestorm's cover of You Are A Pirate is hilarious, although i've kind of lost interest in the band.
