What album do you recommend I start with.
This thread should help you a bit:
People recommended Celts to me, but I just grabbed Enter the Sea of Flames and it striked me as amazing more than Celts. Celts to me was pretty boring
Where did you get it... I can't find it available. Only see the ones on darkhorizons666.com
im a pirate
Fair enough. The band won't make a dime off any purchases for Celts at this point probably.
I found it here.. and no way am I spending that much:
More reasonable on Ebay.
www.redstream.org has a few Morrigan albums, including Celts. Great site.
Cheers Max, just bought the Morrigan I didn't own.
Yeah, upon revisiting today, I agree with most that Celts is an awesome starting point. Go for it!
Thanks for the recommendation. Celts is a very good album. I wish the vocals were more prominent in the mix (especially the harmonies), but I'm enjoying it a lot.
I actually love the way the vocals are mixed, way in the background. Adds a lot to the atmosphere I think. Especially in Giants of Stone.
Do Morrigan have any songs better than Giants of Stone? That's my favorite right now but I'm not fully familiar with all their albums.
Anam Cara is one of my favourite songs by them. Almost everything on Enter the Sea of Flames fucking smokes.
Try "Dance of the Leprechaun" on the same album. Almost as good as Giants.
All total homage to epic Bathory, particularly Nordland I & II era.
I'm about to pick up Celts
I just got Welcome to Samhain, Celts, and Headcult.....and whoever said that Giants of Stone was the best song was telling the truth.....its so mesmerizing!
The Mayhemic Truth Best of (which eclipses all subsequent Morrigan offerings), Celts, Enter the Sea of Flames, and Plague Waste Death is all that is necessary.
The Damned is pretty cool. It has so much Emperor influence though... at times I swear Ihsahn is singing.
